PAT
BLODGETT ~ Trombone
Our
jazz professor from the acclaimed University of
Nevada, Las Vegas, Pat is an extraordinary studio
and freelance musician.
While in Las Vegas, he was regularly
featured at the Riviera Hotel with the Don Menza
Big Band. Pat
has appeared at jazz festivals throughout the US
and Canada and has worked for several cruise lines
in the Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas.
He has appeared with Bob Hope, Clark Terry,
the Woody Herman Big Band, and even the Ringling
Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus.
ROGER CAMPBELL ~ Clarinet &
Leader
The
founder and only original member of the band,
Roger has appeared with numerous nationally
recognized groups including the Preservation Hall
Jazz Band, Climax Jazz Band, Queen City Jazz Band,
and many others.
In 1997, he was the featured artist on a
European Tour of all-stars that included
appearances at the Jazzskeller in Munich and the
Ingolstadt Jazz Festival in Germany.
He has appeared at numerous festivals
throughout the United States and Europe and has
several recordings to his credit.
Roger is an accomplished arranger as well.
CED FORSYTH ~ String Bass
As
one of the few professional musicians in the
world who is equally adept at Bass and Tuba, Ced
is in high demand for Rock, Funk, Polka,
Classical, Swing, and Jazz gigs.
In 1982, he was a member of the Southern
Comfort National Collegiate Dixieland
Championship band, Timbuktu Plus Five.
He has toured the United States including
appearances on national television and radio.
Ced has also worked with the Hot
Tomatoes, the Jelly Roll Stompers, the Colorado
Brass Quintet, Soul Conspiracy, and many others.
JIM MOORE ~ Drums
Nationally
recognized drummer and instructor, Jim has
toured the United States, Canada, and the
Caribbean appearing at over thirty of the
world’s biggest and best jazz festivals.
For over ten years he was a member of the
infamous Your Father’s Mustache Band.
He has also appeared with the Hot
Tomatoes, the Queen City Jazz Band, and the
Platte River Jazz Band among others.
REKHA
OHAL ~ Vocals
Originally
from East India, Rekha received her musical
education playing piano in her hometown of
Washington DC.
She has been performing professionally since
the age of fifteen touring the United States as
either a soloist or with her own group.
She is an accomplished composer as well with
much of her music written in odd meters.
Her outstanding vocal skills have been
compared to Diana Krall, Sade, and Nora Jones.
CHARLIE SMITH ~ Trumpet
Charlie
has worked with numerous jazz greats including Clark
Terry, Frank Sinatra Jr., the Four Freshman, Bobby
McFerrin, Jon Faddis, Rob McConnell, and Lanni
Garrett.
He played lead trumpet with the Glenn Miller
Orchestra while touring throughout Japan, Europe,
and the United States.
As one of the hottest players in the country,
the Woody Herman Orchestra regularly hires Charlie
for lead and section work on local engagements.
BILL STEPHENS ~ Piano
In
1982, Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Science
in Music Education from the internationally
acclaimed Eastman School of Music.
Since then, Bill has toured the United
States appearing with such jazz greats as
Natalie Cole, Clark Terry, Dizzy Gillespie,
Stanley Turrentine, and Lew Soloff among others.
He is renowned for his versatility in
rock, country, gospel, jazz, and blues.
